Picasso - Tetê d`Homme Barbu - Original Aquatint - 1966
A striking print from the late graphic work of Pablo Ruiz Picasso , reduced, direct and of great inner presence.
"Tête d'Homme Barbu" from 1966 demonstrates Picasso's unmistakable ability to capture a human character of timeless intensity with just a few lines. The combination of expressive drawing and deep black lends the work an archaic tranquility, making it a highly sought-after collector's item of classical modernism.

Information about the work
Pablo Ruiz Picasso
Pablo Ruiz Picasso (1881–1973) is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and shaped modern art like few others. His work encompasses painting, sculpture, ceramics, and especially an extensive graphic oeuvre that reflects his restless curiosity and formal experimentation.
Picasso understood art as a permanent process of questioning and reinvention. From Cubism through his Neoclassical phases to the free, almost archaic works of his late period, he always remained open to change. His late prints, in particular, reveal a special focus on line, gesture, and expression – reduced, immediate, and possessing great inner power.
His prints are now considered an independent, central component of his oeuvre and are highly regarded internationally. They combine spontaneity with technical mastery and make Picasso's thinking and seeing accessible in a particularly direct way.
